Winter in South Korea: Nami Island and Garden of Morning Calm

Last February, my friends Pal, Sonia and I went to South Korea. We were on different flights. I took a late night flight (which was delayed) and arrived at Incheon Airport at around 10pm. According to my research, the trains stop at midnight. I was literally running around the airport trying to catch the train to Seoul at the eleventh hour, because if I didn’t make it, I’d have to take a taxi which is expensive. I arrived in Seoul past midnight, and luckily the trains were still operating. I could get to the hostel without taking a taxi then. I arrived at my last train stop and was about to use Google Maps for directions when my phone suddenly died. I think it had something to do with the cold (not sure, have to research), so there I was, standing in the freakin’ cold outside the train station with no battery! I asked a Korean for directions and he and two of his friends ended up taking me to the hostel. It was such a memorable (and funny) experience!

Anyway, fast forward to the next day. Here we are at 7/11 waiting for a bus bound for Nami Island.

Beneath that red sweater, I was wearing a tank top and a Uniqlo long sleeve heat teach top. I was also wearing heat tech leggings under those jeans. No such thing as too many clothes in this weather!
