Siquijor: Charisma Beach Resort

It’s summer all year long in the Philippines! Took my chances and went on a 3-day trip to Siquijor during rainy season. Lo and behold, the sun was shining so bright during our stay.

The highlight of this trip was definitely the beach-front hostel we booked – Charisma Beach Resort. Not bad for 450 pesos a night.

When we arrived, the first thing I did (even before checking in) was take photos of the area. I loved how everything was so Instagram worthy. I was trying out my new ultra wide angle lens, so that didn’t help tone down my excitement either (not sorry!). They also had some nice hammocks by the beach. I spent some early mornings and late nights there listening to nostalgic Taylor Swift songs since she’s back on Spotify! #SwiftieForLife

On our last night, I had the pool all to myself. I took advantage of it by practicing my nonexistent swimming skills. Aside from that, they also had clean bathrooms, stores nearby, and a small restaurant.  The food was quite expensive, but still a good value for money. I once had pancakes, bacon, eggs and rice all in one meal! Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. But we needed to stay within our budget, so as an alternative, we went out to a nearby karenderia a few times. The locals around were friendly and trustworthy. We never had to worry about being ripped off. All in all, I’m a satisfied customer and would recommend this place 100%.

Now, less talk, more photos! 🙂
