The Nusa Islands near Bali are Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan.
Nusa Penida is the biggest of the three. It’s the best Nusa island for me because of the views, the manta ray snorkeling tour and of course, Kelingking Beach which deserve its own blog post.
We went on a boat from Bali -> Nusa Penida. Stayed in Nusa Penida for 3 nights before heading to Nusa Lembongan. At Nusa Lembongan, we walked through a bridge to Nusa Ceningan where we stayed for 2 nights. These two islands are small. There is not much to do/see but they were still pretty cool, especially that restaurant by the cliff with a sunset view. It was definitely one of the highlights of my 16-day trip in Indonesia, and made the 2-night stay on Ceningan worth it!
Aaaand, here we go…!
Most of these photos were shot in terrible harsh lighting conditions in the middle of the day, but on rare occasions I got lucky.
Yep, trash everywhere. This was a common sight in Bali and the Nusa Islands, even in the remote non-touristic areas.
